Hop Blessing 2024 – Thursday 9th May

Join us for the 2024 Hop Blessing on

We’re delighted that Rev. Claire Holt from St Paul’s in Tongham will once again officiate at our annual ceremony to bless the hops.

There will be a few words of welcome from Rupert before the short blessing for an auspicious harvest. After the success of last year, you’re invited to “beat the bounds” around the hop garden.

Arrive 6.30pm-7pm to collect your free pint of Tongham TEA (or soft drink) with which to raise a glass to a successful September hop harvest.

Please dress appropriately – you'll be asked to walk through a mild disinfectant solution for bio-security – and it may be wet underfoot in the hop garden.

Friends and family are welcome at the event. Tickets include a pint of Tongham TEA and are £5 per person, which we’ll donate to our chosen charity for 2024, British Heart Foundation. Booking essential.
