With Early Bird tickets closing on Saturday, we can reveal the line-up to the Hop Harvest party 2019!
Our line-up supports local favourites, up-and-coming talent from BBC Introducing and top cover bands which will keep you up on your feet dancing until the very end of our party.
Beebop – 15:15 – 16:15
Last year we had The Dolomites perform an excellent set of classic rock ‘n’ roll covers lead by their fantastic vocalist, Daisy. The band has had a bit of a re-brand and this year Beebop, will open the party with the same 50’s & 60’s authentic Swing and Rock and Roll sound. Their sound epitomises a bygone era of cool, lead singer in a 50’s halter neck frock and the guys in sharp suits and skinny ties. Swing-jive dancers make sure you get their early to reserve your spot on the dance floor!
Armstrong – 16:30 – 17:30
Armstrong are a local indie-rock band from just down the road in Farnborough. They were recently featured on BBC Introducing and have a definite familiar sound if you are a fan of Catfish and the Bottlemen. A band worth seeing and keeping an eye on.
The Salts – 18:00 – 19:00
The Salts are one of the most exciting and energetic folk bands touring at the moment. The Salts have developed their own unique sound mixing well written original compositions alongside traditional tunes well known and loved. You’ll be bound to see them on the folk festival circuit this summer – or at our Party!
The Frets – 19:30 – 20:45
Tonghamite’s favourite band, The Frets are back again to start the evening’s music with their usual, crowd-pleasing rock & pop covers. A mainstay at the party for the past few years and regulars at Samfest and our Summer Bar music nights, Sam and his band are bound to play some great tunes from the likes of Stereophonics, Tom Petty, Kings of Leon and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Black Market – 21:15 – 22:30
We’ve got a very big finish this year with the rock stylings of Black Market. Their bio describes them as ‘A kick-ass, five piece Indie / Rock Cover Band’ so get ready to mosh about (responsibly) to Rock of Ages material from Foo Fighters, Black Keys and the Killers to classic Bowie, Beatles and AC/DC.
Take a look at their video from when they stormed Samfest back in 2017 – looks like the party’s going to go out with a bang!
