Top Father's Day gift ideas from the Hogs Back

This year's Father's Day (Sunday 21st June) is going to look a little different to normal but there are still plenty of ways to treat your Old Man. We have extended our Home delivery service to offer Brewery Fresh Beer to more of our local customers and introduced a couple of new gift packs which can be sent further afield in case you can't be with your dad in person this year.

Bring the Pub to Dad!

The Pub at home selection box - containing 17 Hogs Back beers, pork scratchings and a pint glass

Our brand new ‘Pub at Home’ pack is available for UK home delivery, drive through purchase or click and collect from the brewery.

The pack contains everything needed to celebrate dad’s special day at home. As well as 17 bottles or cans of Hogs Back’s beers including TEA (Traditional English Ale), Hog IPA – now in cans - and Hogstar lager, the kit contains a Hogs Back pint glass, two packs of pork scratchings from local butcher Alf Turner and beer mats. All that’s needed is the family on Zoom!

Hogs Back Brewery owner Rupert Thompson said: “For many of our loyal customers, Father’s Day means a pint of TEA in their local pub, often followed by a lunch with the family.

“Although we can’t quite recreate that unique pub experience, we hope our Pub at Home pack will come close to it and ensure that dads are able to enjoy their special day with a pint or two of their favourite beer.

Who's the Daddy? Kit

Also available for UK wide delivery and purchase from the brewery is the new 'Who's the Daddy?' Kit. This includes the brand new, hot out the copper, East Coast IPA cans alongside 12 other beers from the Hogs Back and some of our favourite craft brewers. We even throw in a couple of half pint glasses so you and your dad can enjoy them together.

They will be available to purchase online from Friday and in person from the brewery this Saturday.

More postcodes added for Local Home Delivery

Although we work with a courier service to deliver across the Mainland UK, since the start of lockdown our drivers, who are normally delivering to pubs, have been able to make around 4000 deliveries of beer to local homes within approximately 15 miles of the brewery. The Local Home Delivery service brings brewery-fresh TEA and Surrey Nirvana Session IPA as well as bottles, cans, and a selection of locally-sourced fresh meat and bread into customers’ homes.

We're now happy to be expanding the home delivery service to include 12 new postcodes in north Surrey including Epsom, Esher, Chertsey, Leatherhead and Weybridge.

Rupert adds, “Our Home Delivery Service has been a huge success, with our brewery-fresh beer in particular getting a big thumbs up from beer lovers who are missing a pint in the pub during lockdown. So we’re delighted to be extending the service up into new areas where we’re sure there will be strong demand.”

At the same time, we have added a handful of guest beers to the range available for home delivery. The first additions are Siren’s Soundwave IPA, Padstow Brewing Co’s IPA, a selection pack of four styles from Gypsy Hill Brewing Co, as well as Thatchers Gold and new Cloudy Lemon cider. Hogs Back plans to add more brewers to the list in coming weeks, to supplement the extensive range of British and international beers available from its Drive Through service at the brewery.

Treat your dad to Draught ale from the Drive-through

After 12 weeks, our Brewery Shop Drive-through is a very slick experience. A member of staff takes your order and payment from your car window and in the time it takes to turn the car around, your order is waiting for you on a table outside to load into your boot!

Many punters have been popping by for their weekly orders of Brewery Fresh beer from our full draught range which, as well as TEA and Surrey Nirvana Session IPA, includes Hogstar Lager, Hog IPA, Hazy Hog Cider and the new East Coast IPA.

You don't need to order in advance for click and collect, you can just swing by the brewery on your way to Mum and Dad's garden and you'll be on your way in next to no time!
