Customer Notice on Coronavirus (Covid-19)
In light of the concerns surrounding the spread of Coronavirus, we wanted to let our customers know that we will be adhering to all Government guidelines.
These are unprecedented and very difficult times. We fully intend to continue supporting the local community and hope we are supported by our many loyal customers. We are scaling back production, but in response to the clarification of Government advice our shop remains open as a drive-through service for new orders and click & collect orders. Our online shop remains open with home delivery still very much an option.
Here are just some of the ways that we are adapting our way of working to help both our staff and customers:
Hogs Back Drive Through – The drive-through is open for fresh orders and for click & collect. Pull up beside the marquee outside the shop and someone will be there to take your order or confirm your collection details. Payment can then be taken from your car and the beer loaded straight into your car. Please check our amended Shop Opening Hours before making your journey. Please remain in your car whilst you wait and a member of the shop team will come to you when ready.
Click & Collect – All products are now available for click & collect through our website including draught and bottled beer. You will be able to choose a collection day from 2 days after placing your order (not available on Sundays or Mondays). Please bring proof of your order with you to help our team locate your order.
Brewery Fresh Beer delivered to your Door – Brewery Fresh Beer (fresh for 3 days) now available for Local Home Delivery or Click & Collect. If you have a postcode starting with GU1 to GU24, or starting with GU34, GU35, GU46, GU47, GU51, GU52, GU95 or RG27, RG29 you are in luck – the Hogs Back team will be able to deliver Brewery Fresh TEA or Surrey Nirvana (Fresh for 3 days) or Hogs Back bottle beer directly to your house! Place your order online and let us do the rest.
Online Shop – if you live further afield, you can still shop online and our courier service will deliver direct to you. You can order Sedimented draught TEA or Surrey Nirvana (frsh after 2 days and up to 7 days) or bottled beer. Normally we are able to process your orders and get them delivered to you within 2 days. Please see APC Couriers advice for our their update for residential deliveries. Free delivery for all orders over £40.
Unfortunately, due to the update to government guidelines, we have decided to close our Brewery Bar for the time being. We will update this if the guidance changes.
Having already postponed all of our March & April tours, we have stopped taking bookings for May tours. This means that if government guidelines are relaxed we may be able to accommodate earlier bookers as soon as possible. We will be contacting everyone already booked onto a postponed tour once we have an idea of how long restrictions may last.
We are currently investigating new tours looking at brewery ingredients, hop garden visits and tastings which we can operate instead whilst maintaining social-distancing guidelines.
We will also extend the expiry date of unused vouchers by 6 months. Watch the website and social media for the latest update
Tongham TEA Club
For the time being, all events are being postponed. TEA Club members can still receive discounts in the shop and through the website by inputting their code on their membership cards into the Coupon code box at the checkout.
The hop shoots in the hop garden have started to appear and we will be inviting customers, Tongham TEA Club members and staff to help trim and train the young plants, whilst enjoy some fresh air and ensuring a suitable distancing policy. More details to follow shortly.
